What is wrong with our country? Below are my opinions:
- We do not uphold the true principle of a democracy. Some of us choose to bend and twist the law to suit our own political objectives.
- We do not reward people based on merits, so we do not have the right people for the right jobs.
- We do not reward people generously based on their contribution to the society, so we are faced with an acute shortage of people like teachers, police and health workers.
- We do not pay our politicians and public servants well enough to stop them from being corrupt.
- We are not committed to fighting corruption. The authorities would rather go after the small fries and let go of the big fish.
- We are not investing enough on our future. Look at the school system for example, classes are over crowded with inadequate teachers.
- As Malaysians we are too contented and very short sighted. We lack a global perspective on many important issues affecting us.
Note: I will add to this list from time to time.

I read in the Sin Chew Daily this morning the story of a girl with many lovers.
It is reported that this girl who is divorced with a few kids courted three men with promise of a marriage.
From the report (if the allegations are true), I gathered she is very "talented".
But I wondered why she wasted her talents on doing something unethical…
With her "talent" perhaps she should venture into something more rewarding e.g., set up a marriage agency (in view of the large number of unmarried single men/women who need professional help)?
